A little bit about me…

Hello!  Let me tell you a bit about me!  I am Julie R. Feuerborn (aka Julie The Money Coach).

When I was about 14 years old my French teacher told the class about a fantastic opportunity to live with a French family for a month during the summer holidays. Immediately, I knew that this was something I wanted to do. It was probably something I wanted more than anything else that I could remember wanting. However, there was a catch. The cost was about $1000 (£750), which was A LOT OF MONEY way back then!

As I am number 10 out of 12 children I knew there was no way I could go to my dad and ask him for the money for this trip. I had to earn it myself. Over the course of the next 2 years I saved the money I earned from my babysitting jobs and sometimes I even saved my lunch money. I tracked every penny as I added it to my bank account. I had my own special tally sheet so I could see the progress I was making. Finally, I did it! Through scrimping and saving and working, I managed to save enough money for the trip and a bit of spending money as well. So off I jetted to France to experience my long held dream. In July 1982 I lived with a family just outside Bordeaux for four weeks and LOVED it. This was my first taste of international travel and my first multicultural experience and I was absolutely hooked.

Julie The Money Coach

How did I achieve my dream? Why was I so successful even at such a young age? By connecting what I wanted more than anything else and telling myself that I could do it, I learned the power of money and saved, saved, saved for that experience. My deepest desires to see far-away places and meet different people were connected to my dream of going to France. Those values and that desire gave me the determination to save for many months to achieve the goal that was so important to me.

Fast – forward a few years…

When I reached ‘middle age’ I began to question who I was, what was I meant to do with my life and ultimately what was my purpose. After a great deal of research and self-analysis I realised that I wanted to work with women so I could share my secrets for connecting life and money. In addition to being a determined teenager, I have a BSC in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a certificate in Personal Financial Planning from Metro State College of Denver and I am a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. Managing money my qualification AND it is a skill that I have honed for a long time (at least since aged 14).  I know how to live debt free and I know how empowering it is to be in control of my finances. I now share what I have done and how I have done it and empower other women to do the same.  I know how good it feels to be financially free and to live the life of my dreams.

Today I am a US expat living in England and I still love international travel and multicultural experiences…it is part of who I am. It’s who I was way back then and it is who I am now. I was passionate enough to make a dream come true as a teenager and this is the passion that I bring to my clients. Goals may seem so big and daunting that they get brushed aside, often leaving emptiness inside. When a goal is tied to what is most important to you, it becomes attainable and you become motivated to make the right financial choices to make it happen. Sometime it is small steps such as saving lunch money, but all of those steps add up to something much greater and sometimes they even become life changing.

MY PASSION?  To show you how you can achieve this financial freedom in your world.  How you can become your own realizer of dreams and boss your own financial destiny.  How you can make your dreams a reality!

No-one should ever accept less than awesome!
